A profound leader and prolific bible teacher are some of the ways to describe the leadership qualities of Overseer Zachary LaMonte Taylor.

Overseer Zachary Taylor was born in Richmond, Virginia and Educated in the Richmond Public School System. He continued his education at John Tyler College and later earned a Bachelor of Theology Degree from Fredericksburg Bible Institute and a Bachelor of Arts Degree from Richmond Virginia Seminary. In 1971, he married the Late Co-Pastor Valerie Taylor and they are blessed with three children. He was licensed to preach in 1980 and ordained in 1989 prior to his first pastoral office. He has consistently carried the gospel of Jesus Christ for over 30 years. In September 2013, after mourning the loss of Pastor Valerie Taylor for nearly two years; Overseer Taylor found love again and married Elder Brenda Evans.

Among his many accomplishments and ministry achievements, Overseer Taylor has served as District Director of Social Action for the Full Gospel Baptist Church Fellowship of Virginia South Central District, Director of Recruitment, and Director of Pastoral Orientation for the State of Virginia. He has served on the Elders Council of Christian Tabernacle Ministries International (CTMI), a worldwide ministry with a kingdom vision of “churches helping churches”.

In addition, he currently serves on the Elders Council for the Full Gospel Baptist Church Fellowship – State of Virginia under the leadership of State Bishop Wesley T. Cherry.

Overseer Taylor also serves as the Founding Senior Pastor of Word of Life Full Gospel Ministries in Chesterfield, Virginia where the mission is “teaching and training God’s people for ministry”. He has served as a trailblazer for many in teaching and training the basic principles and application of God’s Word which has proven to bring Life to many dormant situations.

As an anointed visionary with passion and purpose, Overseer Taylor has proclaimed that “we serve to be a blessing, and we are blessed because we serve”.
