
Elder Brenda Taylor
Elder Brenda Taylor is a native of Lunenburg County, Virginia. She attended Central Senior High School, Southside Virginia Community College, and is a summa cum laude graduate of Strayer University where she received a BBA degree in Business Management. She also attended the Heritage School of Leadership where she completed courses in World Missions and Evangelism.
In 2003, she was ordained as a Missionary at Word of Life Full Gospel Ministry under the leadership of Pastor Zachary L. Taylor and Co-Pastor Valerie P. Taylor. Under their direction, she also served as the Youth Director, a Finance officer, taught youth Sunday School, and sang in the Choir. Elder Brenda’s journey of preparation for a higher calling led her to Shepherd’s Heart Christian Fellowship where she was ordained as an Elder in 2010 under the leadership of Pastor Luther Archer, Sr. While there, Elder Taylor also served as Director of the Greeter Ministry, Director of the Hospitality Ministry, served as a Finance officer, served on the Evangelism Ministry team and assisted with teaching New Members classes.
Elder Brenda has two daughters, Miranda and Khadija, and one son, Jamil. Elder Brenda was divinely joined in marriage with Overseer Zachary L. Taylor on September 14, 2013 and works alongside her husband at Word of Life Full Gospel Ministries.
Elder Brenda has always had a love for people and a real desire to serve. She believes that a vital part of her mission is to love people back to life and to “re-present” Jesus as the key to the abundant life that God intended for His people. A real passion of hers is working in the area of missions with an emphasis on meeting the physical, spiritual, and emotional needs of women and children.
A favorite scripture is “I do not consider myself yet to have taken hold of it. But one thing I do: Forgetting what is behind and straining toward what is ahead, I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus.” Phil. 3:13-14
